David Wakefield

David co-founded ShoreView in 2002. He has over 25 years of experience in private equity investing and has served on boards across a wide range of industries including niche manufacturing, plastics, building products, medical products, industrial services, and consumer products. David retired in 2019 but remains a special limited partner.

Prior to ShoreView, David was a managing principal at Churchill Capital, a Minneapolis-based private investment firm, where he co-managed two sequential private equity funds focused on investing in middle-market companies. Prior to that, David was a vice president and member of the investment committee at Pacific Corporate Group, a private equity and alternative asset investing firm based in California, where he focused on evaluating and executing investments in middle-market companies.

David received a B.S. in business administration, emphasis in finance, from the San Diego State University. David is a native of Washington state, and he currently lives in Southern California.
